THE AFROSONIC TAXI toured the urban dance floors on Friday, September 25, 2009.  In the first hour, we played early Afro-pop classics from Manu Dibango, Toure Kunda, King Sunny Ade, Baaba Maal and others who broke African music on the worldwide dance scene in the 80s and early 90s.  In the second hour, we sampled some of the latest electro-beats from the continent, including hot Kwaito-style Marabi from Mafikizolo (pictured above).
