A zine (pronounced zeen) is a self-published mini-magazine that has a long history in direct contrast to mainstream music journalism and the music industry. Founded in sci-fi fandoms of the 30s/40s, zines gained popularity among the punk scene in the 70s as a way to distribute authentic work by means of the creator’s immediate resources. Usually assembled quickly, xeroxed, and distributed for free, zines can now be found in many forms ranging from small foldables to bound books!
Keeping with tradition, this zine was a huge collaborative effort and was printed and assembled by hand! Enjoy!
